After Ami One Concept, an electric concept for urban mobility, Citroën presents 19_19 Concept, a second electric concept celebrating its centenary, which expresses its vision of extra-urban mobility.

BORN CITROËN*

19_19 Concept is a high-tech object with a spectacular design, inspired by aeronautics. It pushes comfort to the extreme, recreating a real rolling living room in the passenger compartment, placed on intelligent suspensions, giving the sensation of flying over the road. Innovative and futuristic, it offers a range of 800 km, autonomous driving techniques and a Personal Assistant that interacts with passengers.

A FUTURISTIC VEHICLE

A futuristic front

The design of 19_19 concept is aerodynamic. The front incorporates a double plexiglass cover, lower and upper. The upper cover rises very high above the wings, acting as a spoiler and supporting the Full LED lighting signature, incorporating the brand's chevrons and the Origins logo. The interior and the technology are visible. The suspension structure, the wheels, the inside of the wings are decorated with streaks reminiscent of chevrons.

A technological back side

The rear side echoes the front side: the tailgate bubble, the aerodynamic underbody, the light signature, with two Y-shaped lines of light integrating the chevrons and forming a spoiler. Two LIDARs (laser detection measurement systems) are positioned at the rear of the roof. The sub-basement is designed like a skateboard, which reveals the batteries and all the technical elements. It is decorated with three lines of blue, white and red.

A SPECTACULAR DESIGN

A transparent capsule

With its fully glazed body, 19_19 Concept resembles a transparent bubble. It impresses with the length of its wheelbase and its ultra-short overhangs. Very curved, the passenger cell resembles the base of an airplane wing on each side, producing an impression of robustness and width. At the front, the plexiglass is tinted black and blue at the back, a nod to the blue of little Rosalie, the brand's heritage. At the front, passengers can see and be seen, while the rear has a micro-perforated film, preserving their privacy.

XXL wheels

19_19 Concept seems suspended above XXL wheels (diameter: 930 mm and 255/30 R30 tires), developed with Good Year. The tire and rim appear to be one, with the rubber extending onto the rims, contributing to acoustic comfort. The wings, both disintegrated from the body and integrated into the wheels, suggest completely independent wheels: the cabin seems placed on 4 spheres, isolated from the road. Their central spinner remains fixed, revealing the Citroën Origins logo when 19_19 Concept is rolling.

BORN COMFORT*

19_19 Concept offers a specific universe to each passenger.

The driver's seat offers intuitive controls, a head-up display of driving information through the windshield, an ultra-comfortable seat and a speaker in the headrest.

The front passenger has a chaise longue with motorized lifting footrest and the rear seats are designed like a sofa. Each passenger has their own sound zone, with individualized content sent directly to them.

The dashboard, simplified as much as possible, has, in its lower part, a glass area which can be transformed into a film projection screen. The steering wheel is floating, marble-looking and has a screen in the center scrolling through all generations of Citroën logos.

The doors open antagonistically and allow optimal access to all passengers, due to the absence of a middle pillar.

19_19 Concept has intelligent suspensions, intelligent active steering with an anti-roll and anti-listing system, in addition to the suspensions with Progressive Hydraulic Stops®. The bumps and external disturbances are therefore erased. Wheels and tires also contribute to suspension comfort. IntelliGrip technology, an intelligent sensor system, allows 19_19 Concept to determine the optimal driving mode, impacting speed, braking, handling and stability. The feeling of flying over the road!

BORN FUTURE* 100% ELECTRIC AND AUTONOMOUS

A range of 800 km

19_19 Concept is 100% electric. It goes 0-100 km in 5 seconds, for a maximum speed of 200 km/h. It benefits from ultra-fast induction charging, allowing it to recover 600 km of autonomy in 20', without a charging cable.

Autonomous driving

19_19 Concept can manage driving automatically. Certain driving phases, such as motorways or traffic jams, can be delegated to it. For the pleasure of driving or for more complex situations such as traffic in congested urban centers, the driver can get back behind the wheel at any time.

AN INTUITIVE AND PROACTIVE PERSONAL ASSISTANT

The Personal Assistant appears as a cylinder on the dashboard. Equipped with artificial intelligence, it supports interactions with the vehicle and passengers. When the driver is driving, he remains active but does not take control. In autonomous mode, the steering wheel and pedals retract and the Personal Assistant extends above the dashboard, freeing up the projection surface for the driver. The Personal Assistant is equipped with natural language voice recognition, developed by SoundHound Inc, a Silicon Valley start-up.
