To put pleasure and service back at the heart of urban travel, Citroën, Accor and JCDecaux have formed a visionary collective: The Urban Collëctif. From this association was born a completely new concept of mobility, illustrated by The Citroën Skate, a technological mobility platform, associated with 3 Pods offering 3 new and dedicated services: Sofitel En Voyage, Pullman Power Fitness and JCDecaux City Provider.

High-end and exclusive service

The Sofitel En Voyage Pod is an architectural parallelepiped of glass and marquetry with an intimate atmosphere and open to the outside.

Cozy and refined space

The Sofitel En Voyage Pod allows you to transport two to three people on board in exceptional conditions of comfort and service. It functions like a luxury valet. Guests benefit from the unique hospitality experience of Sofitel hotels throughout their stay, on site at the hotel but also during their travels in the city: a sophisticated and “French-style” transport experience.

The Pullman Power Fitness Pod offers a unique experience featuring the symbiosis between sport, music and light.

Deliberately futuristic atmosphere

The Pullman Power Fitness Pod has an unusual glass bubble, both dark and bright. A digital coach via the holographic screen allows the athlete to be encouraged while maintaining a view of the external environment, but also to be informed, obtain information on their journey and be entertained during their cardio session. The effort made on the bike or rower also allows the batteries of The Citroën Skate to be regenerated.

An extension of traditional public transport, the JCDecaux City Provider Pod is a mobile bus shelter which is revolutionizing public transport in urban centers.

Timeless design offering comfort and space on board

The JCDecaux City Provider Pod has pure shapes, a timeless and sober design offering comfort and space on board. Up to 5 people can move around in an open, welcoming, bright space with great visibility of the city. Inside, passengers have grab bars for safe travel and USB sockets for charging all portable devices. Two screens with interactive maps are available, one facing inside, the other facing outside.

On-board technology to get around the city better

The Citroën Skate is a mobility tool, private or public depending on the associated services, capable of circulating in all urban centers on dedicated lanes to generate fluid and optimized mobility. It integrates all the intelligence and technology allowing travel in autonomous and electric mode: battery, electric motor, radars, lidars, etc. Purely urban, its maximum speed is limited to 25 km/h.

Goodyear has developed Eagle 360, omnidirectional wheels, made of spherical tires incorporating small electric motors. These innovative wheels give the robot total 360° freedom of movement.

Towards an infinity of pods responding to varied uses

The open-source development of The Citroën Skate allows anyone to develop a compatible Pod if it respects Citroën's technical interface specifications.

Thanks to the dissociation of The Citroën Skate generating the movement and the Pod, creativity can explode in terms of services, uses and individual or collective mobility. Beyond the Pods designed with Accor and JCDecaux, other possibilities are therefore endless.
